Spaces available - The infant/toddler program has space while the 3-5 centre is currently full.
March 2013 -
time fly! Jenn's Little Bears has gone through a minor staffing rotation to start the year as some of our educators are pursuing upgrades in their early childhood training. We would also like to wish Cathie a heartfelt farewell as she moves on to her next phase of life and we hope she enjoys her retirement. Cathie was terrific educator who always went the extra mile for the children and treated them with great respect, she will be missed at Jenn's Little Bears. We would also like to give a warm welcome to our new educator Jane! She has completed her ECE certificate and is looking to continue her education and receive an infant/toddler designation!
- The Halloween party was a lot of fun, the teachers all enjoy seeing what kind of costumes the children decide to wear each year and the children love to do their yearly costume parade through the infant and toddler centre! We had a witch, Bumblebee (transformers), Woody (Toy Story), princess and even a zombie! November is a month for remembering and the children enjoyed wearing the poppies that they made and wore around the centre. Now we are working on practicing our songs for the Christmas concert in December!
September 2012 -
With every September comes the fact that we have to say goodbye to many faces that have been with us through the years and we wan to wish the children moving on to Kindergarten the best of luck! However, every September also comes the opportunity to meet and get to know a group of new families and children eager to learn and have fun! Yesterday was crazy hair day in the 3-5 centre and the children had a blast putting in many ponytails, mohawks and many crazy colors!
June 2012 -
It is hard to say goodbye but we had our Graduation Ceremony a little early this year as some of the grads are vacationing for summer. The potluck was a blast and the children enjoyed singing the song they've been practicing so hard on. We now have our sights set on the big Sesame Street trip in July, it should make for a fun experience for all of the children attending!!
March 9th -
It has been an amazing start to the year that has seen some friends go but has also seen some new friends join in the fun at Jenn's Little Bears. We currently have an infant and a toddler space for April so if you are interested please see the Contact Us page! We have also implemented a new Facebook community page with some picture of the exterior play area of our centre, check it out!
Dec 6th -
December is here which means the annual visit from the big jolly guy in red is just around the corner! Also the 3-5 year olds have been practicing hard for their concert this month and are very excited to perform for their parents and grandparents!!
- The trip to Galey Farms was a big success! The children enjoyed the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch, followed by getting to choose their very own pumpkin to take home with them. Other notable activities were petting the baby goats and the haunted train ride, they all thought the skeleton taking a shower was very funny! In the coming months we are hoping to set up a field trip to the ice rink as well as a visit from a certain jolly old soul...Activities for November include Picture Day and Pajama day, check the newsletter for details!
Aug 30th -
Jenn's Little Bears will be having an Open House
on Saturday September 17th from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Please feel free to stop by and meet the educators and also to get a feel for the centre!
August 28th -
The 26th was a big day for seven of our little friends, it was their graduation day to celebrate moving on to Kindergarten! First they got their graduation shirts with all of their names on them and then they sang along to Wavin' Flag by Young Artists for Haiti. After that we handed out their framed certificates and then we had a potluck and barbecue. Thank you to all the parents who participated for their contributions to the potluck!
This was a big day for the little friends but it was a sad day for the educators who have been caring for some of the graduates since before they were 1 year old! Grads, you will be missed but we wish you all the best of luck and success in kindergarten!
- The trip to Juan de Fuca pool was a huge success! It was Jenn's Little Bears first class trip to a pool and none of the children were wanting to leave when it was over. The slide and the wave pool were big favorites of the children! We would like to give Janine, Karen, and Laura a big THANK YOU for giving us a hand getting the children ready at the pool and helping to monitor them in the pool!
